Lonely Lycan's Abandoned Omega

Lonely Lycan's Abandoned Omega

"NO! YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME!"

Delilah screamed at the woman she was supposed to call Mother. In reality, Naomi was nothing more than a stepmother who despised her, a woman who wanted to sell her off to strange men just to line her own pockets.

"What did you say?" Naomi's face twisted in anger. She struck Delilah across the cheek, the slap cracking through the room.

"Listen to me, girl. You don't get to decide what's right and what's wrong. You're twenty now. I've endured you for ten years. It's time you paid me back. Your father died without leaving me a dime. He was a poor man—I don't even know why I married that ugly bastard in the first place."

Delilah was twenty years old. She had lost her biological mother when she was just ten. The very next day, her father had come home with another woman and declared she was Delilah's new mother.

It had been hard to accept, but she had tried her best. Yet this woman had never loved her, not once. From the age of ten, Naomi had forced her to do every household chore.

When Delilah was fifteen, her father died in a war. He had been a pack fighter. Soon after, her stepmother married a man with money.

From then on, Delilah remained in the house because it belonged to her father. Naomi hadn't thrown her out, but she had reduced Delilah to the status of a maid while she lived like a landlord.

Delilah touched her right cheek. Pain radiated across her skin. She hissed through her teeth as tears rolled down her face.

She lowered her eyes to the floor.

"I've always done what you told me. I didn't go out like other children. I didn't live my life the way other girls do. My entire life, I've stayed here with you as a servant. I was okay with that, too. But now you want to sell me to men. I can't accept it," she mumbled.

Naomi grabbed her arm and shoved her to the floor.

"Naomi, don't hurt her. If you break her bones, men will never want damaged goods," Harland, Naomi's husband, said.

Delilah felt a wave of disgust. How could a man say such a thing?

Naomi and Harland had taken over everything Delilah's father had left behind. The house, his money, everything. In fact, Harland was living off her father's wealth.

Delilah stood up slowly, her knees aching.

"Be prepared. Those men are coming tomorrow. You have to submit to them. They will take you for one night. You'll be back home the next morning. Just don't try to provoke them," Naomi warned.

Delilah shook her head. "No," she whispered.

"What did you say? Say it again. I'll cut out your tongue. They're giving us a handsome sum of money. If they like you, they might recommend you to others."

Delilah felt like dying. How could one woman say those words to another?

Was she a joke to her?

All her life, she had thought Naomi disliked her because she was a stepdaughter. But the way she wanted to do business with her body was ridiculous.

"I'm not going to stay here anymore."

"Not going to stay? Fine. Then I'll throw you to the Beast of the forest. He will eat you alive," Naomi growled.

Hearing that, Delilah's eyes widened.

The Beast? Everyone knew about the Beast. There was a saying that deep in the forest, a monster lurked.

He ate people alive. If someone met him, they never came back. He was a ugly, horrible-looking man who liked to live alone. If anyone disturbed him or crossed his path, their death was inevitable.

Delilah felt a shiver run through her body at the mention of the Beast.

"If you want to stay alive, then just do as we say." Naomi smirked. She knew Delilah would never leave this house. She was confident about it.

Delilah nodded at her and ran to her room.

She needed to escape. She could not let others destroy her purity and use her. She could not let her life be ruined by other men and her stepparents.

Everyone in the pack knew about her and called her an 'Abandoned Omega'.

Many of them laughed at her situation. They called her weak and vulnerable. Naomi provoked others by telling them lies about her. Delilah didn't know how she would survive outside.

By midnight, her stepparents were sleeping in their room.

With slow steps and a fast-beating heart, she came out of her room and closed the door gently so it wouldn't make a noise.

She glanced around and took a deep breath. She strode to the front door and stepped out of the house.

She looked at the house one last time.

It wasn't true that she hadn't wanted to leave all these years. It was just that she had memories of her mother in this house, and she hadn't wanted to leave those memories behind.

But this time, she had to leave for her own sake.

She closed the door and turned around. She walked ahead.

It was a cold, dark night. She wandered alone. She had never come out of her home at this time before.

Today, she had fled from hell. But where would she go? She had no one. No paternal or maternal family. Everyone lived in other villages. She couldn't go there. So where could she go to take shelter?

The road was unclear because of the darkness. She saw a lantern hanging from a tree beside the road.

Someone might have thought it would show a little light to passersby on this night.

She headed to the tree and took down the lantern.

The flame inside showed her enough light to walk forward.

She thought for some time and felt she was truly alone in this whole pack. It was better to live in the forest than sell herself here.

So she started to walk into the forest.

The more she walked, the more she heard the crunching sound of dried leaves beneath her feet.

The sky was clouded with darkness and the air was chilly. She felt frozen.

She didn't know where she had found the courage to come to the forest.

Her stepmother's words came back to her ears.

"The Beast will eat you alive." Naomi's voice kept echoing in her mind.

She felt fear inside her heart. Her legs were wobbling. She could see the yellow dried leaves through the light of the lantern.

She walked for a long time and felt her body freezing. She felt unsteady; she hadn't eaten anything the whole day.

A sound of crunching came toward her ears and stopped.

Her heartbeat started to race in fear.

"Who?"

It was not her steps anymore, but coming from ahead.

Her legs felt like jelly, but she still tried to walk to see who was there.

"Who's there?"

She asked again. Unexpectedly, a dark silhouette came across her sight. Her steps halted.

She tried to lift the lantern closer to her eyes to see who was coming.

The moment she raised it, the flame inside blew out, and a huge figure towered over her.

She slowly looked up and saw a pair of furious orange eyes looking into hers.

"B-BEAST?"
